People Hub

Summary

As your organisation grows and changes, the people within it change too. Sproket People Hub is an interactive staff directory and organisational chart that allows you to easily track these changes by displaying up to date employee details. Put a face to the name, filter and search based on profile information and click through to see who reports to who. Easily contact your team members and get to know your evolving workforce.
When your page is in Edit mode, click the icon, search for “Sproket People Hub”, and select the Sproket People Hub web part from the results.

Configurations

After you select the Sproket People Hub web part, click the Configure Web Part button or icon on the menu on the left of the web part to open the Configuration section on the right. In this section, you can perform the following configurations:

Fields marked with red asterisks (*) are mandatory.

Field Description
Show Title Click to enable title display of the web part.
Show in Panel Click to enable display of items in panel.
Default tab Click the drop-down list and select the default tab as Directory or Org Chart.
When clicking around the People Hub, scroll back to the top of the page (recommended) Turn on this option to scroll back to the top of the page when clicking around the People Hub.
Directory Display Mode Click the drop-down list and select the directory display mode as Normal or Compact.
Levels of Management to show in Org Chart Enter the number of management levels you want to display in your Org Chart.
Org Chart: Active User Actions Select the check boxes adjacent to the required user actions. Available options include Email, Teams Chat, Phone, Profile, and Office.
Cache period (mins) Enter the cache period in milliseconds.
Data source Click the drop-down list and select the data source.
Office Location Page URL Enter the page URL of the office location.
Top of Org Chart User Enter the top of org chart user name and pick from suggestions.
Permanent search filter Enter a SharePoint (KQL) search filter applied to your directory and org chart. For example: filter by ‘@example.com’ to remove accounts without a corporate email account.
Empty fields filter Click the drop-down list and select the fields to be part of empty field filter.
Custom overrides Enter the override configurations. For more information, see configuration documentation.

Once all the required updates and configurations are performed, click Republish button to publish the page.

How do I search for people around various locations?
You can use the filter option in Org Chart and filter people based on office locations.

From list view, how can I find an employee’s reporting manager?
You can click the Org Chart icon adjacent to the employee name and view the position of the employee in a tree structure.

What are Custom overrides?
Custom overrides use Jason Blob queries which enable you to manage the Org Chart display.
