Installing Sproket

YOU MUST DO THIS FIRST Start a free trial at https://app.sproket.co/. Once you have created an account you can follow the below steps to complete the installation. Install files available for download via portal.

Prerequisites

  • Start a free trial at https://app.sproket.co/
  • Installation requires tenant level permissions within Microsoft 365.
  • Graph API permission request will need to be approved.
tip

This article describes installing Sproket to your entire Microsoft 365 tenant and Sproket being available in all sites. If you prefer you can deploy the sppkg files to a Site Collection App Catalog so Sproket is only available in that site only. Refer to the Installing on individual Site) article.

Step by step

To install Sproket manually you must upload both sppkg files into the SharePoint App Catalog.

Step 1 - Open App Catalog

Navigate to your SharePoint admin centre

Click on the Apps link.

Drag and drop the sproket-library.sppkg file into the document library.

When you upload, a prompt will display like the one shown below. Make sure to tick the box 'Make this solution available to all sites in the organization'. Even if you don't want Sproket in each of your site collections, for this library file you must tick this box.

Step 3

Drag and drop the sproket-365.sppkg file into the document library.

Congratulations, you have now installed Sproket. Once installed you will be able to see our Sproket web parts when editing a SharePoint page. You will also see the Sproket Settings icon in the bottom left corner of every page. Note that it may take 5-10 minutes after first installing to see this icon due to SharePoint's caching techniques.
